Keep Rivers Wild for Wildlife

National Wildlife Week

March 15-21, 2010

Get Wild, Child!

National Wildlife Week is a signature event of National Wildlife Federation's Be Out There campaign, an initiative to connect families and communities to nature, raise healthier kids, instill a conservation ethic, and inspire a life-long appreciation of wildlife and the environment.

At the National Wildlife Federation's Wildlife Week web site teachers can download a custom Educator Activity Guide, and get activities and lesson plans about science, ecology, wildlife and more. Visit here.

Families can get activities for a week's worth of outdoor fun, including local animals and plants to watch for, tips for gardening with children, and nature-themed activities. Visit here.

Educators, parents and students can get information about greening their schools and curriculum, becoming a recognized Eco-School, and even creating a wildlife-friendly outdoor classroom at your school. Visit here

Whether at home, at school, or at play, National Wildlife Federation activities will help children and adults explore and learn about the Great Outdoors!
